San Jacinto and Palm Springs Tram Hike - SBC
May 21, 2022
8:30am - 8:00pm
San Jacinto Wilderness

Mount San Jacinto stands 10,834 feet above sea level, and is the second highest most prominent mountain in Southern California. It is home to magnificent granite rock faces, alpine forests, and wildflower covered meadows. Our journey begins as we depart the Palm Desert campus for the short drive to Chino Canyon and the Palm Springs Aerial Tramway. The tram travels upwards almost 6000ft from the canyon floor to the edge of Mt. San Jacinto at 8,516 feet. Using the expansive trail system, we will hike through the wilderness and explore panoramic views of the San Bernardino Mountains to the north and the Pacific Ocean to our west as we attempt to summit this magnificent mountain and then return to PDC.
