Details: In celebration of Black History Month, the Black Faculty, Staff, and Student Association (BFSSA) of California State University, San Bernardino, will be hosting the 10th Annual Pioneer Breakfast on Friday, February 24, 2023, from 9:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. This year’s theme is “Celebrating Black Excellence; Leading and Shaping Our Future.” And to name a few of the honorees for this event are Prince Ogdepkie (Emerging Leader Award), Cindy Black Turner-Wyatt (Staff Award), Aaron Burgess (Administration Award), and Robie Madrigal (Lorraine Frost Ally Award). Since this is the 10th Annual Pioneer Breakfast, we created a new category, “The Village Award,” that will honor some incredible individuals leaving an indelible mark in their respective communities. Those honorees are Terrance Stone, Kiana Webb, Kim Carter, Damon Alexander, Kimberly Calvin, Social Lites Inc., Dr. Gwendolyn Dowdy-Rodgers, and Westside Action Group. The Santos Manuel Student Union, North Conference Center, will hold the event. Tickets are $40.00 for faculty, staff, and community members. Proceeds from the breakfast will benefit future scholarships for CSUSB students.
