Power to the San Bernardino campus has been restored as of 9:55 a.m. Normal campus operations will resume Friday, July 26th. Essential staff with questions on whether to report should contact their appropriate administrator. Facilities Management will be working to check all building systems including HVAC, elevators and fire alarms. If power has not been restored in your work area when you return, please report that to Facilities Planning and Management at (909) 537-5175. The Palm Desert Campus remains open and operational.

Terrilyn Monette Scholarship - Deadline Registration: xx-xx-xxx

The Terrilyn Monette Scholarship is awarded in honor of former CSUSB student Terrilyn Monette, who was deeply committed to education and impacting at risk youth in the community.

  • First-time freshmen must have cumulative high school GPA of at least 2.5
  • Transfer students must have cumulative GPA of at least 2.5
  • Continuing students must have cumulative CSUSB GPA of 2.5
  • All applicants must:
    • Be currently majoring in Liberal Studies
    • Be enrolled full time (12 units) at CSUSB at the time of disbursement
    • Allow a photo to be taken for campus use and media publicity
    • Have demonstrated ability to community service
    • Be involved in BFSSA networks: SAAS, SAAB, BSU or Black Scholars Hall

Dr. Mildred Henry Scholarship - Deadline Registration: xx-xx-xxxx

The Dr. Mildred Henry Scholarship is awarded in honor of former long-time CSUSB professor Dr. Mildred Henry, a renowned African-American campus and community leader.

  • First-time freshmen must have cumulative high school GPA of at least 2.0 and a minimum of 2.0 in the last term of high school.
  • Transfer students must have cumulative GPA of at least 2.0 and a minimum of a 2.0 (as a halftime student) in the last term completed before transferring.
  • Continuing students must have cumulative CSUSB GPA of 2.0 with a minimum 2.0 (as a full-time student) in the last term before applying for scholarship.
  • All applicants must:
    • Be enrolled in at least 6 units at CSUSB when the scholarship will be awarded.
    • Demonstrate a commitment to diversity, especially to under-served communities
    • Be involved in BFSSA networks: SAAS, SAAB or Black Student Union

The Overton Scholarship is awarded in honor of former long-time CSUSB employee John Overton, who was a renowned African-American campus and community leader.

  • First-time freshmen must have cumulative high school GPA of at least 3.0, with a minimum 3.0 in the last term of high school
  • Transfer students must have cumulative GPA of at least 3.0 and a minimum of a 3.0 (as a full-time student) in the last term completed before transferring.
  • Continuing students must have cumulative CSUSB GPA of 3.0 with a minimum 3.0 (as a full-time student) in the last term before applying for scholarship.
  • All applicants must:
    • Be enrolled in at least 12 units at CSUSB when the scholarship will be awarded.
    • Demonstrate a commitment to diversity, especially to under-served communities.
