Erik Hollins (they/them) turned an interest in economics and political science into a communications career through experiences at CSUSB. Model United Nations, campus jobs and serving as ASI president helped them develop negotiation, writing and leadership skills. Helping establish CSUSB’s Queer and Transgender Resource Center also marked the beginning of Hollins’ journey toward self-acceptance. Today, Hollins leads strategic communications at Cal State LA, offering colleagues the support they once received. “I don’t know where I would be without my Cal State San Bernardino experience”.
