Amira Shalabi’s path to leadership began before she became a coyote. As a prospective student attending Choose CSUSB Day, Shalabi stepped inside the Associated Students Incorporated office and knew she belonged there. She returned to CSUSB as a health services administration major determined to turn that ambition into action. Through campus involvement, mentorship and connections with fellow Coyotes, Shalabi strengthened her voice and discovered her potential as a leader. She campaigned across campus, listened to students and earned their trust to become the first Arab American ASI president.
