Director of the Murillo Family Observatory

Carol Hood has been with the Cal-Bridge program since it was launched in 2014. The program creates a pathway for students from a number of CSU campuses to doctorate programs in physics and astronomy at UC campuses across California.
Hood, who has a Ph.D. and master's degree in physics and astronomy from UC Irvine, also serves as director of the Murillo Family Observatory, which overlooks the Cal State San Bernardino campus. She oversees faculty and student astronomy research at the observatory, which opened in 2012.
