Overview

The CSUSB MARC program currently has ten students for this academic school year. Prospective students who are interested in applying for the upcoming MARC cohort should turn in their completed applications during Winter Quarter; however, applications will continue to be accepted until all available openings are filled.

Activities

PreMARC Activities

  1. Supplemental instruction in key science courses (BIO 200, MATH 211, CHEM 215, CHEM 216, an PSYC 210)

  2. One on one tutoring in key science courses

  3. MARC peer tutoring and mentoring

  4. Participation in Research Ethic and Visiting Scientist course

  5. Participation in MARC speakers series

MARC Activities

  1. Scholars attend classes designed especially for MARC students each quarter

  2. Scholars work on original research for approximately  15-20 hours per week

  3. Scholars attend the MARC speaker series where they get to meet prominent researchers in their respective fields

  4. Scholars travel to local and national conferences to present their original research
