The Adina Lee Savin and W. Benson Harer Visiting Scholar in Egyptology is made possible through the generous funding of Savin and Harer. The gift to the endowed visiting professorship supports the position for two years and ensures that CSUSB continues to serve as a vibrant center for the study of Ancient Egypt in the Inland Empire.
Dr. W. Benson Harer, longtime friend and supporter of CSUSB and the Robert and Frances Fullerton Museum of Art, has been named the recipient of the book club’s 2020 Emory Award.
The children of W. Benson Harer, longtime supporter of CSUSB, donated more than 2,200 books worth over $300,000 to the university’s library and RAFFMA.
Dr. W. Benson Harer, a longtime supporter of Cal State San Bernardino and the university’s Robert and Frances Fullerton Museum of Art (RAFFMA), has pledged $900,000 to establish the W. Benson Harer Egyptology Scholar in Residence.
The CSBS Hall of Fame 2019 Induction Ceremony will take place at 6 p.m. Friday, April 26, at the university's Santos Manuel Student Union Events Center.
