CSUSB’s Jack H. Brown College of Business and Public Administration welcomed about 300 students to its annual JHBC Resource Fair on Sept. 9, where 19 student organizations, college centers and campus partners shared opportunities, resources and ways to get involved.
Two-time alumna Crystal Wymer-Lucero, director of Alumni Relations, has been selected for the American Association of State Colleges and Universities’ 2025 Emerging Leaders Program. She joins a national cohort of standout academic and administrative professionals shaping the future of higher education leadership.
Scott Keagy Smith, BA, marketing, ’91, is being recognized for his leadership and influence on students and fellow teachers in the field of physical education.
Mary Jane McCoy, BA, history, ’67, who was one of three African American students in the first graduating class of 59 students, is being recognized for her decades of dedicated leadership, service and generosity to the educational community and beyond.
Juan Carlos Luna, BA, liberal studies, ’02, MA, bilingual education,’04, MA, educational administration, ’06, will receive the Paw Prints Award. He is being recognized for his leadership and service in the educational sector.
Ellen Weisser, BA, English, ’68, will be honored with the Distinguished Alumni Award, which recognizes an achievement of noteworthy value, a series of such achievements or a career or humanitarian effort of noteworthy accomplishment.
William “Bill” Stevenson, business and marketing, ’84, will receive the Coyote Spirit Award, which honors an individual who has gone above and beyond to help advance the mission of CSUSB as a dedicated volunteer.
The three university-wide awards are Distinguished Alumni, Rising Star/Emerging Leader, and Coyote Spirit. The college-linked awards are called the Paw Print Awards. The deadline to submit a nomination is Sunday, May 7, at 11:59 p.m
