The award recognizes the work of Jessica Nerren, a lecturer in the Department of Communication and Media, in and out of the classroom, and her advocacy for all students, especially the neurodiverse, to ensure they have the opportunity and resources to succeed at CSUSB.
The university formally opened its new Performing Arts Center during a ribbon-cutting celebration on March 4 attended by more than 400 students, faculty, staff and university guests.
Stacey Fraser, professor of music, was named the winner of Cal State San Bernardino’s 2024-25 Outstanding Professor Award for her excellence in teaching, research, scholarly and creative activities, and service to students and the campus community.

The Robert and Frances Fullerton Museum of Art at CSUSB hosted a public reception on Sept. 5 for its latest exhibit, “Korean Craft: Yesterday and Today,” a collaboration with South Korea’s Sookmyung Women’s University Museum, the Korean Cultural Center Los Angeles and the Korean Foundation for International Cultural Exchange.
Hosted by the university’s Associated Students Inc., with Orientation & First Year Experience, The Coyote Experience Fall 2024 took place at the Santos Manuel Student Union (SMSU) North and South on Aug. 23, drawing a crowd of eager students ready to embark on the new academic year.
Julie Taylor, associate professor of communication and media, was honored with the 2023-24 Outstanding Faculty Advisor Award for her dedication to CSUSB students and effective advising qualities and practices.
Designed, created and installed by students, “Eternal Learning” consists of 850 square feet of ceramic tile that depicts humans at work, study and play among larger-than-life books. The project took five years to make with the help of 20 CSUSB students.
The Paws Radio and Multi-Media Learning Lab now includes a completely renovated broadcast facility with 24-hour programming.
