CSUSB Division of Student Affairs Hosts DSA HERstory Movie Night in Celebration of Women’s History Month
In honor of Women’s History Month, the California State University, San Bernardino Division of Student Affairs hosted DSA HERstory Movie Night, bringing students together for an evening celebrating the legacy, resilience, and cultural impact of women.
The event featured a special screening of the iconic film Selena, which tells the story of Tejano music legend Selena Quintanilla and her lasting influence on music, culture, and representation. Following the screening, students participated in a reflective panel discussion exploring Selena’s legacy and the broader importance of uplifting women’s voices and stories.
The panel featured leaders and student representatives from across the CSUSB community, including Kimberly Rosas (Associated Students, Inc.), Jordan Santana (Office of Black Student Success), Stephanie Rios (Division of Student Affairs), and Melissa Saldana Munguia (College Corps Fellow & Annual Giving). The discussion was moderated by Celeste Meza, who guided conversation around representation, empowerment, and the continued importance of honoring women’s contributions across communities.
Through events like DSA HERstory Movie Night, the Division of Student Affairs continues to foster meaningful dialogue, celebrate diverse voices, and create spaces for students to connect through shared cultural experiences.
