DSA Celebrates LGBTQ+ History Month with “Lights, Camera, Pride!” Film Screening and Community Event

SAN BERNARDINO, California — The California State University, San Bernardino  Division of Student Affairs, in collaboration with the Queer and Transgender Resource Center (QTRC), hosted Lights, Camera, Pride! A dynamic event that brought together entertainment, community, and celebration in honor of LGBTQ+ History Month.

The event featured a screening of The Mitchells vs. The Machines, a heartwarming and humorous animated film celebrated for its positive LGBTQ+ representation through its main character, Katie. Students, staff, and faculty gathered to enjoy the film and had a chance to win prizes.

More than just a movie night, Lights, Camera, Pride! created an affirming space where members of the campus community could connect, reflect, and celebrate the rich diversity that strengthens CSUSB. The collaboration between the Division of Student Affairs and the Queer and Transgender Resource Center reflects CSUSB’s ongoing commitment to fostering belonging and supporting every student’s identity, journey, and voice.

The Division of Student Affairs continues to lead initiatives that promote inclusion, wellness, and student success across all communities at CSUSB. Through partnerships with centers like the QTRC, the division aims to create programs and events that inspire connection, empower student voices, and celebrate the university’s vibrant diversity.
