Join us for October Tech 2025, a four-day series of events presented by Information Technology Services (ITS). Each day spotlights innovative technologies and practices that are transforming education, research, and workplace efficiency, with a special focus on the growing impact of artificial intelligence. Faculty, staff, students, and industry partners are invited to explore new ideas, connect with experts, and experience hands-on demonstrations, culminating in a featured session on OpenAI and its role in shaping the future of teaching, learning, and professional practice.

October 6 – Research Computing Day
Discover the latest in high-performance computing, data visualization, and advanced research tools that empower discovery across disciplines.
Location: Faculty Center of Excellence PL-4005 (Pfau Library)

October 7 – Immersive and Accessible Technology
Engage with XR, VR, and AR applications that transform teaching and learning, while exploring cutting-edge accessible technologies that promote equity and inclusion.
Location: Pfau Library 1st Floor

October 8 – Process Improvement and New Technology Preview
Learn strategies and tools to streamline workflows, leverage AI, enhance collaboration, and build efficient processes that drive success for our campus community.
ITS will also preview new technologies including Teams Phone, and ServiceNow, the new service management platform.

October 9 – OpenAI
Explore the future of artificial intelligence with a special focus on OpenAI. Sessions will showcase how tools like ChatGPT are transforming education, research, and campus operations through live demos, hands-on training, and conversations with experts. Whether you’re new to AI or already experimenting, this day is about discovering practical ways to integrate AI into teaching, learning, and professional practice.
For Students
Showcase how you’re using ChatGPT or custom GPTs to study, stay organized, spark creativity, or solve challenges. Selected students will share their stories in short presentations, inspiring peers and shaping the campus conversation on AI.
For Faculty & Staff
Highlight how you’re incorporating ChatGPT or custom GPTs into teaching, research, or workflows. Chosen presenters will share practical examples, exchange ideas, and contribute to building an AI-enabled community at CSUSB.
