is an Associate Professor in Anthropology at CUNY Graduate Center. His research examines indigenous and black territorial struggles, land, ethicality and subject formation, and the socio-spatial politics of economic development in Honduras.

Marcela Velasco

is an Associate Professor in Political Science  at Colorado State University. Her research interests include ethnic politics, ethnic social movements, environmental justice in Latin America in general and Colombia in particular.
