Ancient Egypt is more than a history subject for CSUSB assistant professor Kate Liszka. It’s also a great means of learning about where the world has come from, said Liszka, who is the Pamela and Benson Harer Fellow specializing in Egyptology.
Jessica Tomkins, who earned her doctorate in Egyptology from Brown University last year, was selected to be CSUSB’s inaugural W. Benson Harer Egyptology Scholar in Residence.
The W. Benson Harer Egyptology Scholar in Residence, Jessica Tomkins, will present “Weapons and Warfare in Ancient Egypt,” on Wednesday, March 6, at noon.
This all-ages event, led by W. Benson Harer Egyptology Scholar in Residence Jessica Tomkins, will allow visitors to explore the rich history of ancient Egypt, from their religious beliefs to their burial practices with family friendly activities.
