Alex Armendariz has been named the new director of Tribal Relations in the Office of Government, Tribal, and Community Relations. As director, he will play a central role in strengthening CSUSB’s relationships with Tribal Nations and advancing the university’s commitment to Native student success and community engagement.

Attendees enjoyed cultural performances by bird singers, learned about on-campus resources, and heard from university leadership at the Native Community Welcome Dinner.

The Native Community Welcome Dinner will celebrate new and returning Native students at CSUSB on Sept. 18. The event is an opportunity to build connections and highlight the support systems available to the students.

CSUSB will host the inaugural Native Community Welcome Dinner on Sept. 18 to celebrate and support new and returning Native students. The invitation-only event will bring together the campus community, educators, Native organizations and Tribal partners for an evening of connection and cultural recognition.
