
The 7th Annual Rabbi Hillel Cohn Endowed Lecture on Contemporary Jewish Experience will take place at 6 p.m. March 26 at the Alumni Center’s Obershaw Dining Room. The presentation is free and open to the public.

Videos from the Building Academic Exchange Bridges Across Borders (California-Mexico and Beyond) 2024 meeting, which included CSUSB’s LEAD Projects, are now available on-demand online. The February sessions at Metropolitan Autonomous University, Mexico City, were part one of the meeting; part two will take place at the annual LEAD Summit on the CSUSB campus in September.

The free event on March 16 is designed to empower families with essential tools and information to enhance their financial well-being and will feature assistance with financial aid applications, special guests, activities for kids, opportunity drawings and a live broadcast by La Poderosa 96.7 FM.

William Fleming, professor in the East Asian languages and cultural studies at UC Santa Barbara, will speak at CSUSB’s Modern China Lecture Series program, 2:30 p.m. Wednesday, March 6, in person and on Zoom.

Glass artist and art professor, Katherine Gray, makes her return as a judge on Netflix's hit series "Blown Away" for its fourth season, which premiered on Friday, March 8. In an exclusive interview, Gray shared insights into what viewers can expect from this season.

Rosemary (Ruby) Nidiry will join the CSUSB series at noon, Monday, March 4. The program, free and open to the public, will take place on Zoom.

“New Directions in Gender & Sexualities Research: Interdisciplinary Perspectives” will take place beginning at 4 p.m. Wednesday, March 6, in the John M. Pfau Library, room PL-4005.

Academic Advisor Matt Markin is the host of “The CSUSB Advising Show with Matt Markin,” streaming on the university’s Coyote Radio at 4 p.m. every Friday. “This is a fantastic opportunity to reach current students and possible future students of CSUSB,” Markin said.

The annual Social Justice Summit will feature keynote speaker Saul Flores, a philanthropist, photojournalist and storyteller, on March 15 from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. in the Santos Manuel Student Union South Event Centers.

CSUSB’s College of Natural Sciences’ Department of Geological Sciences recently enabled a research expedition for a faculty member and two students to travel to Antarctica to study the East Antarctic Ice Sheet.
