“As we begin this, our 54th year as an institution of higher education, it is exciting to know that we continue to grow and develop to meet the needs of our students and our community,” CSUSB President Tomás D. Morales said.
About 500 people celebrated Mexican Independence Day at CSUSB on Sept. 15 with festivities that included cultural performances of music and dance, and featured the Mexican Consul with the ringing of a bell and cry for patriotism or “El Grito.”
Ten alumni from the Class of 1969 returned to their alma mater at Cal State San Bernardino to celebrate their golden anniversary.
To celebrate National Hispanic Heritage Month, CSUSB will hold a number of events on campus and at its Palm Desert Campus from Sept. 15-Oct. 15 to recognize the contributions, heritage and culture of Hispanics and Latino Americans.
