The 36th International Information Management Association (IIMA) conference at the CSUSB Palm Desert Campus on Oct. 20-22 brought 35 faculty members and doctoral students from across the country and abroad to participate.
This year’s conference, themed “AI, Security, and Privacy in a Digital World”, provided a dynamic platform for sharing research, innovative ideas and practical applications in information systems, data analytics, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity and digital transformation.
Attendees engaged in keynote sessions, a panel discussion and research presentations that explored how technology continues to shape organizations and education globally.
Remarks and talks were provided by Edna Martinez, associate vice president, CSUSB Palm Desert Campus; Tony Coulson, professor and executive director, CSUSB Center for Cyber and AI; Anna Ni, professor and associate dean, Jack H. Brown College of Business and Public Administration; and Vincent Nestler, associate professor and director, CSUSB Center for Cyber and AI.
Conrad Shayo, chair, School of Cyber and Decision Sciences, and Nima Molavi, associate professor of supply chain management, School of Cyber and Decision Sciences, served as conference co-chairs.
“Hosting the IIMA conference aligns perfectly with our university’s commitment to fostering innovation, global collaboration and community engagement,” said Molavi. “We are proud to support events that advance research and create meaningful dialogue among academics and industry leaders. Bringing experts from around the world to our campus provides invaluable opportunities for our students to engage with cutting-edge research and global perspectives in technology and management. The discussions we had at the conference inspired new ideas and fostered promising collaborations that will help shape the future of information management and digital innovation.”
The IIMA, founded in 1990, provides an international platform for researchers and practitioners to share knowledge and advance understanding of information systems, management and technology integration in organizations.
