Cal State San Bernardino’s Jack H. Brown College of Business and Public Administration will host a lively and thought-provoking event, “The AI Debate: ChatGPT vs. Dr. Vincent Nestler,” on Monday, Nov. 3, at noon in the Santos Manuel Student Union (SMSU) South Theater.

Vincent Nestler, director of CSUSB’s Center for Cyber & AI and professor in the School of Cyber and Decision Sciences, will go head-to-head with ChatGPT, OpenAI’s advanced artificial intelligence model, in a debate that pits human expertise against machine intelligence.
The debate event will delve into the strengths and limitations of human decision-making grounded in years of experience versus the rapid adaptability and vast data-driven insights of AI.
Together, Nestler and ChatGPT will tackle big questions shaping the future of work and technology, including: Is AI going to take my job? How do we know when to trust AI versus human judgment? What skills should students focus on to stay competitive in an AI-driven world?
Students, faculty, and community members are invited to attend this engaging and interactive discussion exploring the evolving relationship between people and technology — where the wisdom of experience meets the innovation of artificial intelligence.
