Monica Alejandre, associate vice president for advancement services and operations at Cal State San Bernardino, received the Auxiliary Organizations Association Outstanding Accomplishment Award at the organization’s annual conference on Jan. 8.

The conference was held from Jan. 7 to Jan. 9 at the Hyatt Regency Indian Wells Resort & Spa in Indian Wells. This year’s conference theme was “Passion for Learning,” which acknowledges the commitment of AOA members who think creatively to support student success and find opportunities to thrive within higher education.  

In addition to receiving the AOA Outstanding Accomplishment Award recognizing her exemplary leadership in the development of the AOA Philanthropy Committee, she has also been active on the conference committees and participated as a conference presenter and panel moderator.

“It is truly an honor to receive such a prestigious acknowledgment, and I am humbled to join the group of outstanding individuals who have been recognized for their services to AOA,” Alejandre said in response to being awarded the Outstanding Accomplishment Award. “I am also deeply grateful to my colleagues on the Philanthropy Committee for their unwavering support and encouragement. The establishment of the Philanthropy Committee truly shows the collaborative spirit of the California State University.”
