The Cal State San Bernardino basketball teams will honor the university’s faculty on Faculty Appreciation Night, Friday, Feb. 17, at Coussoulis Arena.

Both teams will face visiting Humboldt State, with the women’s game at 5:30 p.m. and the men’s game at 7:30 p.m.

Both Coyotes teams are battling for spots in the CCAA post-season tournament.

The women’s team is coming off a 67-59 win over Cal State Dominguez Hills on Feb. 11 in Carson. The win pushed the Coyotes conference record to 10 wins in 16 games, and they need one more win — over visiting Humboldt State — to clinch their third CCAA Tournament berth.

The men’s team also needs a win to keep its playoff hopes alive; the top eight teams will compete in the CCAA Tournament. The CSUSB men are coming off a 73-58 loss to host Cal State Dominguez Hills on Feb. 11, and with a 7-9 CCAA record, the Coyotes are tied for the eighth tournament spot with rival Cal Poly Pomona, with four games remaining in the regular season.

The first 50 faculty to RSVP by today, Monday, Feb. 13, will receive access to a VIP food and beverage reception. Please RSVP to Annette Hollimon at Ahollimon@csusb.edu to reserve your tickets.

Tickets are for faculty plus one. Additional tickets and access to the VIP reception are available for purchase.

Questions regarding Faculty Appreciation Night should be directed to Christina Johnson, associate athletic director for External Relations at cjohnson@csusb.edu.
