It’s another chance for them to give back to Cal State San Bernardino.

Nearly 85 alumni shared their professional and life lessons with students as part of the annual CSUSB Alumni Professor for a Day Program. The alumni met with students in a variety of settings from being part of various panel sessions open to students, to meeting with student clubs and organizations, to teaching a class.

One of the program’s goals is to have students talk with alumni, who talk about their experiences and share the knowledge and how their education applies to the real world, said Crystal Wymer-Lucero, director the CSUSB Office of Alumni Relations.

“Our alumni can answer our students’ questions about what to expect after graduation and how to pursue their careers,” Wymer-Lucero said. “It is invaluable information that can provide that extra help and guidance that our students need to succeed.”

On Wednesday, May 9, the CSUSB Alumni Professor for a Day luncheon, which celebrates the achievements and honors the contributions of distinguished alumni volunteers will be held from noon-1:30 p.m. at the Yasuda Center, Room 111.

About 80 members of the CSUSB family are expected to be in attendance including 55 alumni, 15 faculty members and 20 staff members and administrators.
