The university honored 69 graduating veteran students at the annual Veterans Graduation Celebration on June 8  at the Upper Commons Obershaw Dining Room.

The ceremony hosted by the Cal State San Bernardino Veterans Success Center welcomed about 105 family members who were treated to a dinner, and the presentation of the stoles and certificates to graduating students.

The event featured remarks from CSUSB President Tomás D. Morales; Darrell Frye, field representative for state Assemblymember Eloise Gomez Reyes, D-San Bernardino; and James McGuire, U.S. Army veteran and president of the Student Veterans Organization. Also addressing the veterans was Lt. Col. Mary Hall (U.S. Army, retired).

The Class of 2018 will graduate at five ceremonies, beginning with the Palm Desert Campus at 6 p.m. Thursday, June 14, at The Show at Agua Caliente Spa and Resort in Rancho Mirage, and the next four at the Citizens Business Bank Arena in Ontario on Saturday, June 16: College of Social and Behavioral Sciences at 8 a.m., College of Natural Sciences at noon, the College of Arts and Letters and College of Education at 4 p.m., and the Jack H. Brown College of Business and Public Administration at 8 p.m.
