A workshop on how to start a small business will be offered on today, Monday, Oct. 5, by the Inland Empire Women’s Business Center, a program of the Inland Empire Center for Entrepreneurship at Cal State San Bernardino, in collaboration with the Corona Business Assistance Program.

“The ABCs of Starting Your Own Business” will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Corona Innovation Center, located at the Corona Civic Auditorium, 815 W. 6th St., Suite 145, in Corona. The workshop is free to Corona residents; non-resident cost is $20. To register, visit the IEWBC website.

Participants will receive contact information for the government and business entities that are part of the start-up process. The workshop also will have information on legal forms of organization and funding sources for local existing and aspiring small business owners.

“This workshop will give aspiring business owners an overview of resources that will help them navigate the process of setting up their small business,” said instructor Janise Graham. “Deciding which legal structure is right for their business and understanding available sources of funding can impact how a business is formed and its chances for a successful start.”
