Stuart Sumida, CSUSB biology professor, interviewed on NPR program ‘Science Friday’Science Friday/WNYCSept. 28, 2018Stuart Sumida, a paleontologist and professor of biology at Cal State San Bernardino, was one of the experts interviewed for a segment on the rollback of protected land in two of Utah’s national monuments: Grand Staircase-Escalante and Bears Ears.Back in December, the Trump administration announced reductions to two of Utah’s national monuments: Grand Staircase-Escalante, which runs from the Grand Canyon to Bryce Canyon National Park, and Bears Ears, newly established by the Obama administration just a year before.
