Donald Edward Sapronetti, 79, of San Bernardino peacefully passed away at home on Saturday, May 6. He served as finance director for Cal State San Bernardino, joining the university in 1973 as an accounting officer. He retired in 1994.
He was was born in Akron, Ohio, on March 22, 1938. He was married to his high school sweetheart, Gayle Louise, for 58 years. They were sealed in the Los Angeles Temple in 1972.
He is survived by his wife and their four children: Sheri Becar (David), Donald Jr. (Denise), Charles, and Patrick; 10 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 5-7 p.m. Friday, May 12, at Bobbitt Memorial Chapel, 1299 E. Highland Ave., San Bernardino.
Funeral services will take place at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1475 Northpark Blvd. in San Bernardino, on Saturday, May 13, at 10 a.m., with a 9 a.m. viewing. Burial will follow at Hermosa Gardens Cemetery in Colton.
