Cal State San Bernardino will celebrate its 16th December Commencement on Saturday, Dec. 10, with two commencement ceremonies at CSUSB’s 3,500-seat Coussoulis Arena.

Of the more than 2,000 students eligible to graduate in December, approximately 1,080 are expected to participate in the ceremonies.

The first ceremony will be at 9 a.m. for three of CSUSB’s five academic colleges: Arts and Letters, Education, and Social and Behavioral Sciences. The second ceremony will be at 1 p.m. for the Jack H. Brown College of Business and Public Administration and the College of Natural Sciences.

Overflow seating will be available in two locations: the Health and Physical Education Building, room 124, and the College of Education Building, room 105, where guests can watch the ceremonies live via television.

The commencement ceremonies also will be streamed live at the CSUSB Office of Strategic Communication Live Webcast page.

This year, the College of Social and Behavioral Sciences has the largest number of students (354) registered to participate in the fall ceremony, followed by the College of Business and Public Administration (297), the College of Natural Sciences (212), the College of Arts and Letters (177), and the College of Education (40).

Parking for the ceremonies will be complimentary from 5:30 a.m.-11:30 p.m. Due to ongoing construction in the parking lots, trams will not be available for the commencement ceremonies. The disabled or those with difficulty walking will be directed to Lot N, which is the closest to the arena.

Visitors can learn more at the commencement website’s Parking, Shuttles & Directions web page.

The December Commencement is especially popular with out-of-state and international students who have completed their studies in fall and are likely unable to return for the traditional June graduation, which usually averages about 3,000 graduating students.
