Joining the Honors College
The Honors College welcomes applications from incoming first time freshmen and transfer students (next application cycle begins for students starting in Fall 2027).
We also accept applications of interest from current CSUSB students who have at least 2 years of study left at CSUSB. The reason for that cutoff is due to our curriculum. It requires students to spend at least 4 semesters taking upper division GE courses and two 1-unit research workshops that support our students as they work on their honors theses. Joining the Honors College as a current CSUSB student may require you to adjust your MyCAP so that we can place you in our Honors courses, but our staff is here to help you with that when you are accepted.
Program Admission
Applications require the following:
- Unofficial transcripts
- Two short questions about leadership and volunteer activities
Admission Requirements for first time freshmen or transfer students: Overall, GPA 4.0
