CIRM COMPASS Program

COMING SOON:  CIRM COMPASS training program for early-stage Biology majors

Attention students in BIOL 2010 and BIOL 2020!  Starting in Spring 2023 the Biology Department is recruiting students for the first trainee cohort for the COMPASS program, generously funded by the California Institute for Regenerative Medicine.

COMPASS scholars will engage in a 2 year training program in laboratory research projects to prepare for careers in regenerative medicine and biotechnology.  Projects will be conducted both at CSUSB and at off-campus institutional partners.

There is no minimum GPA requirement for COMPASS eligibility.  Students will be considered for COMPASS based largely on their performance in the BIOL 2010 and 2020 laboratory experiences. Please see the CIRM COMPASS Program Flyer for more information.
