The Plumbeous Vireo is a casual visitor to campus: individual birds were seen 14 Oct 2007, 16 Oct 2011, and 05 and 16 Apr 2009. It is an uncommon migrant in southern California, a rare winter visitor mostly in the coastal lowlands, and a rare and local breeding bird in the mountains.

The Plumbeous Vireo can be identified by gray head and upperparts and white underparts, wing bars, and 'spectacles.'
