University Advancement Team Presented Strategies used for the President’s Legacy Gala

Challenged to plan and execute the President’s Legacy Gala for nearly 500 guests within five months and without additional resources, requiring a more efficient and coordinated planning process.

The President’s Legacy Gala successfully welcomed 450 attendees and raised $250,000, demonstrating the impact of the team’s process improvements and collaborative planning efforts.

Lean Six Sigma principles improved communication, accountability, workflow visibility, process efficiency, and team coordination throughout the event planning process.

Lessons learned from planning the gala can be applied to future university initiatives, including presidential events, Homecoming, and other large-scale campus programs, using Lean Six Sigma principles to support continued improvement.
