Dr. Mark Agars is Professor of Psychology and Director of the Institute for Child Development and Family Relations (ICDFR) at California State University, San Bernardino (CSUSB). As ICDFR Director, Dr. Agars works to foster partnerships between CSUSB faulty and community agencies with shared interests in healthy child and family development. These partnerships serve to advance research, provide quality child and family services in the community, and create enriching educational and professional experiences for students. Dr. Agars also directs the Work.Family.Life research lab, which conducts research on the work and family interface with a specific focus on the challenges faced by the working poor. His other research focus is in the area of gender and diversity in the workplace, with an emphasis on social-cognitive predictors of sexism and other experiences related to diversity.

Dr. Agars lives in Chino with his wife Viara and two boys Maksim and Nikolas. The boys are into scouts, bikes, music, video games (shhh…), and watching Redsox baseball with daddy. They all spend as much time as they can visiting family and friends from their hometowns in Bulgaria and upstate New York.
