Dr. Daisy Ocampo Diaz Recognized at Riverside Arts Council Mayor's Ball

Dr. Daisy Ocampo Diaz of the CSUSB History Department was recently recognized at the Riverside Mayor's Ball for the Arts (link). She received awards for her collaboration on two recent projects. First, the documentary, "Pá'Čapa: A Mt Rubidoux Story" from 38 Pictures Productions was awarded, and the film is available to watch here on YouTube, a collaboration with Rosy Aranda and Blossom Maciel. Second, the Riverside mural, "U'mun Chemqal eppa 'Still Here'" available to view at this link and this link. In the upper left image here, Dr. Ocampo Diaz is pictured with her collaborators, Rosie Aranda, Blossom Maciel, and Lorene Sisquoc. This continues an impressive year of achievement for Dr. Ocampo Diaz, following her collaboration with recent CSUSB graduates, Lina Tejeda and Michael Chavez, on the UCLA Fowler Museum's "Fire Kinship" exhibit.
