Happy National Volunteer Week
National Volunteer Week is a time to recognize volunteers and celebrate the power of volunteerism in our communities. This is an opportunity for us to thank the thousands of volunteers who selflessly donate their time and energy throughout the year to leave their paw prints in the community.

Volunteerism is the backbone of all community efforts and what you do and how you actively do this is shaping the future for many of our communities. Volunteers make it possible for local non-profits to expand their services and reach more people than they could do on their own. Every day, there are volunteers doing their part to give back in all kinds of ways, it is especially apparent now more than ever. Given our current circumstance of COVID-19, the power of volunteerism in our community is seen throughout the news and social media – it’s the most uplifting thing to see given all the other news we receive daily.

National Volunteer Week is about inspiring, recognizing, and encouraging people to seek out ways to engage in their communities and give back. During this National Volunteer Week, we will spotlight volunteers from our own CSUSB community, who are leaving their paw prints in the community and we encourage you to share your story on your own social media platforms of why you volunteer, thank others who are volunteering and join in the celebration of those who selflessly benefit the lives of others by providing a helping hand to those in need.

This week is dedicated to celebrating YOU and we offer our most heartfelt thank you to all of you!

You make us all so proud to be Yotes!
