A program plan lists the specific course requirements to be completed before the master's degree can be awarded. Students should meet with a faculty advisor to fill out their program plan.

Listed below are the individual download versions of credential applications and forms that may be required for processing of the formal application for credential recommendation and/or requests for services offered by the Credential Analysts. Please refer to the Credential Processing website for detailed information regarding our services.

Please note that all applications and forms are available in the lobby of the Jim and Judy Watson College of Education Student Services (CE 102) and Palm Desert Campus (PDC) Student Services Office (RG 203).

  • California Educator Credentialing Examinations
    • California Basic Educational Skills Test (CBEST)
      • Demonstration of proficiency in basic reading, writing and mathematics skills to fulfill Basic Skills Requirement
    • California Preliminary Administrative Credential Examination (CPACE)
      • Demonstration of skills in situational analysis, problem solving and decision making in educational leadership
        Note: The final administration of the current CPACE examination will be in February 2015. Field testing for the revised examination will take place between Fall 2014 and Winter 2015 and the initial administration will be scheduled for Summer 2015.
    • California Subject Examinations for Teachers (CSET)
      • Demonstration of Subject Matter Competency, Basic Skills Requirement via Multiple Subjects Plus Writing Skills and Preliminary Educational Technology at the foundational level
    • California Teachers of English Learners (CTEL)
      • Demonstration of competency in knowledge, skills and abilities necessary for effective teaching of English learners in order to obtain CLAD certificate, English Learner Authorization and Bilingual Authorization
    • Reading Instruction Competence Assessment (RICA)
      • Demonstration of knowledge and skills necessary for effective teaching of reading
