Examining different factors that affect Wellness and training graduate students using Applied Behavioral Analysis techniques for best practices.
Hello! My name is Lakhvir Kaur. My passion for research and learning about advanced methodology and assessment motivated me to be an advocate for research. I’m a second year graduate student in the College of Education. I’m pursuing my masters’ in School Psychology. During my undergraduate, I have conducted a Literature Review at California State University, Bakersfield in the area of Stereotypes, Prejudice, and Stigma and its effects on children under the guidance of Dr. Vega. I got the opportunity to do poster presentation at Western Psychological Association (WPA) in Portland, Oregon (2018 and Psi Chi Conference at CSU Bakersfield. During this time, I gained experience in data analysis using SPSS, factor analysis, writing literature review, and presenting at national level conferences.
I have been involved in research since my first quarter as a graduate student. My current research focuses is examining different factors that affect Wellness and training graduate students using ABA techniques. During my first year as Graduate Student researcher, I have gained experience in conducting literature review, collecting data, submitting IRB proposals, submitting grants proposals, and presenting at conferences such as Western Psychological Association, American Psychological Association, and Meeting of the Minds Symposium. I will be presenting at California Association of School Psychologists in Fall 2019. My future goal is to to continue to contribute cutting edge research in the field and understand different methodology to promote best practices in school psychology. I’m excited to an advocate for research at CSUSB and guide you to resources that will enhance your research experience.
