Power to the San Bernardino campus has been restored as of 9:55 a.m. Normal campus operations will resume Friday, July 26th. Essential staff with questions on whether to report should contact their appropriate administrator. Facilities Management will be working to check all building systems including HVAC, elevators and fire alarms. If power has not been restored in your work area when you return, please report that to Facilities Planning and Management at (909) 537-5175. The Palm Desert Campus remains open and operational.

The purpose of this policy is to safeguard the health and safety of individuals, prevent crime, ensure that facilities are utilized within their designed purposes, facilitate and control utilities consumption, and control facilities maintenance. 

Policy

  • Lodging in Campus Facilities and on Campus Grounds
    No person shall at any time lodge or camp on any property owned, operated, or controlled by the University or use any University facility as a living space except in the Residence Halls per established policies. Under extraordinary circumstances, the campus President or designee may grant a temporary exception to this policy. Violation of this policies is a misdemeanor pursuant to Education Code Section 89031 and Penal Code Section 647(e).
  • Lodging in Vehicles
    No person shall use any motor vehicle in any area on the campus for the purpose of human habitation or camping without the express written permission of the University President or designee. 'Human Habitation' includes one or more of the following activities: sleeping between the hours of 12:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m., cooking, or elimination of body wastes. Violation of this policy is a misdemeanor pursuant to Education Code Section 89031 and Penal Code Section 647(e).
