COMPANY OVERVIEW: Cal Med Surgery Center is offering an exciting opportunity for a driven and creative Social Media Content Intern who is interested in gaining real-world experience within a professional medical clinic setting. This internship is best suited for someone who enjoys digital content creation and wants hands-on exposure to healthcare marketing and communications. This position is open for business, marketing and creative students.
The intern will support our marketing efforts by developing short-form video content for social platforms such as Instagram and TikTok, focusing on patient education, behind-the-scenes clinic life, physician spotlights, community outreach, and overall brand awareness, while always maintaining professionalism and patient privacy standards.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Develop, record, and produce engaging short-form video content for platforms such as Instagram Reels and TikTok that reflect Cal Med’s brand standards and messaging.
- Monitor emerging social media trends and thoughtfully adapt them for use in a healthcare setting.
- Visit our Colton facility one to two times per week to capture on-site content.
- Work closely with the Cal Med team to generate creative concepts that connect with our audience.
- Track content performance and provide insights to enhance engagement and guide future content strategies.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Demonstrated experience creating short-form video content for platforms such as TikTok and Instagram Reels; samples or portfolio links are encouraged.
- Ability to understand and align content with Cal Med’s brand identity and target audience.
- Reliable transportation and availability to visit the facility for on-site content creation.
- Working knowledge of video editing tools (e.g., CapCut, InShot, or similar platforms, please mention your preferred tools in your introductory email).
- Strong storytelling skills with a focus on education, clarity, and professionalism in a healthcare setting.
Although this is an unpaid internship, it offers valuable hands-on experience for aspiring content creators seeking to expand their portfolio, develop professional skills, and gain exposure within a local healthcare organization.
