- CJUS 101. Introduction to the Criminal Justice System (4 units) A descriptive overview of the adult and juvenile justice system, from the commission of crimes and offenses through sentencing and appeal procedures. Criminal justice standards and goals and the relationship of the social and behavioral sciences to criminal justice will be emphasized. Prerequisite: Declared major or minor in criminal justice or social work.
- CJUS 102. Criminal Law (4 units) Historical development of criminal law and its contemporary application. Focus on the interrelationship between criminal law and the criminal justice system.
