Oraib Mango is a Professor of Arabic Language, Literature, and Culture at California State University, San Bernardino. Her work focuses on sociolinguistics, especially in regards to the intersection of language, power and identity; and on language teaching and learning especially the innovative uses of technology in language learning.

Her service to the university and the community include several projects that brought Arabic language and culture to different schools in the Inland Empire. She is the recipient of several awards from the Office of Community Engagement including a Community-Based Participatory Research Mini Grant, and the Establishing Community Partnership grant. She is the cofounder and co-director of Al-Najm, an ongoing collaborative project that started in 2016 with Manuel A Salinas elementary school for the creative Arts in San Bernardino.

She serves on the executive board for the Inland Empire Foreign Language Association (IEFLA), the Southern California Arabic Teaching Council (SCATC), as well as on the board of the Learning and Teaching Priorities Committee of the National Federation of Modern Language Teachers Association (NFMLTA).
