Auditions for Little Shop of Horrors

Auditions for our spring semester production of: 

Little Shop of Horrors 
Book By Howard Ashman, Music By Alan Menken, Lyrics By Howard Ashman

Will take place November 17-18 from 6pm - 10pm in the Black Box Theatre inside the Performing Arts building.

Little Shop of Horrors is a darkly comedic musical about Seymour Krelborn, a meek floral assistant who discovers a strange, R&B-singing, man-eating plant named Audrey II. The plant promises Seymour fame and fortune if he feeds it blood, but as it grows, its appetite for human life grows, leading to a chaotic and murderous plot for world domination.

Scripts are available to check out for 1 week by visiting room PA 111 between the hours of 9AM to 5PM.

About the auditions: 
 
The audition process starts at 6pm with a dance call. Auditioners can then leave and come back for their audition slot.
Dance Call (You will learn and perform an easy combo) 6pm - 7pm

Individual Audition Slots (Acting & Singing)- 7-10PM 
What to prepare:

  • DRESS TO MOVE!
  • Prepare a 1-minute comedic monologue or be prepared to tell a funny story
  • Be prepared to sing 16 bars of a song from Little Shop of Horrors OR sing a song in the style of Little Shop (think upbeat 1950's Doo-Wop). An Accompanist will be available- bring sheet music if you would like to be accompanied.
