How does the program work?
Through a partnership between JHBCBPA and CEGE, the Online MSA program has a unique course schedule and administrative structure. Each semester, the program offers two, 6-week sessions during which students take 2 courses. Students take two, 5-week classes in Summer session 1, and complete a Final Project course during the Summer Session 2. This accelerated schedule and online format get you in, through and ready for your next career landing. Students may journey through the program with their cohort or take session breaks as their home and work schedules demand .
Classes are online and asynchronous. Any scheduled (but still virtual) meetings offered by instructors are recorded so students who cannot attend still receive the content. Instructors post their course syllabus, assignments, exams and course news in the learning management platform (Canvas). Good time management is essential for success as students fit their study time around their work and home schedules.
A culminating experience course and comprehensive exam permit students to demonstrate what they have learned. Faculty encourage students to prepare for and take the first section of the CPA exam at or near the end of the MSA program.
