California State University, San Bernardino invites application for Department Chair position in the Department of Nursing for the start of the academic year, 2022-2023.  The DON is seeking visionary candidates who can provide academic, nursing, and administrative leadership to achieve the mission and goals of the Department, College and University in a multicultural community.  Preferred candidates will be expected to meet the traditional requirements of excellence in teaching, research and creative activity, and service to the university, profession of nursing, and the community.  The goals and challenges for the new Department Chair include leading and strengthening a diverse faculty and student body representing baccalaureate and graduate programs in nursing across two campuses in meeting CCNE accreditation standards and California Board of Registered Nursing (BRN) regulations and approvals as well as enhancement of scholarship and development of sufficient external financial support and community involvement.

Qualified candidates must demonstrate a commitment to excellence in teaching and mentoring a diverse student population and to working effectively with faculty, staff, and students across a wide range of disciplines.

The Department of Nursing at California State University, San Bernardino (CSUSB) invites applications for Open Rank Tenure Track faculty in the Department of Nursing (DON) for the start of the academic year, 2022-2023. The DON is seeking visionary candidates who contribute to our campus community through teaching, research, professional activities & service and to achieve the mission and goals of the Department, College and University in a multicultural community. The candidates must have a doctoral degree in nursing or related field from a regionally accredited institution by time of appointment.

The successful candidate will be expected to fulfill the responsibilities of a full-time academic role in undergraduate and/or graduate nursing including teaching theory in various modes (i.e.: online teaching, hybrid), clinical nursing courses informed by evidence based practice and leading a group of faculty on both campuses. Responsibilities include participation in department and university committees, scholarship, advising and other contributions to student success, program evaluation and accreditation reporting, and community and professional service.

Department of Nursing Open Part-Time Positions

Part-Time Faculty Positions, Clinical Instructor

California State University, San Bernardino invites applications for part time faculty, clinical instructor positions in the Department of Nursing. Candidate must be able to work well with administration, local hospitals, as well as community agencies. Evidence of BRN approval must be provided at the time of application. Preferred candidates will be expected to meet the requirements of excellence in teaching and service to the university and community. Applicants with an earned Doctorate in Nursing, or a Master's in Nursing with a Doctorate in a related field are preferred. However, applicants with an earned MSN will be considered. Candidates must be qualified to teach at the undergraduate level in the BSN generic program with clinical expertise in nursing. Candidates must show outstanding teaching experience or potential. California RN license is required for this appointment and clinical skills must be current. The department is seeking candidates to participate in our expanding programs and to apply their expertise in multicultural communities. Salary will be competitive, and commensurate with appointment rank and qualifications.
 
Salary: Dependent on qualifications and experience. 
Deadline and Application Process: Review of applicants will be ongoing. However, all applications must be completed by the due dates below to be considered for the term indicated. 
Winter Term - apply by October 1
Spring Term - apply by January 2
Fall Term - apply by July 1

Submit current vita showing clinical competence with a letter of interest that includes a statement on teaching philosophy and strategies, research/professional accomplishments and goals, as well as a description of any interest or experience in one of the strategic plan areas.
