Our glassmaking area consists of a well-equipped ‘hotshop’, as well as a cold-working studio, plus generous general work spaces in the 3D Spatial Arts building.
Having a glass-making facility is increasingly rare at universities and colleges, and we have some of the best facilities anywhere in California. These include:
● Clear and colored glass furnaces
● 2 benches in the hotworking area, with garage, pickup oven, and annealers
● Multiple kilns for warm processes
● Cold working studio with saws, lathe, diamond lapping wheels, belt sanders
● Sandblaster with 48" cabinet
● High temperature decal printer
