Power to the San Bernardino campus has been restored as of 9:55 a.m. Normal campus operations will resume Friday, July 26th. Essential staff with questions on whether to report should contact their appropriate administrator. Facilities Management will be working to check all building systems including HVAC, elevators and fire alarms. If power has not been restored in your work area when you return, please report that to Facilities Planning and Management at (909) 537-5175. The Palm Desert Campus remains open and operational.

How do I register for commencement? 
  1. Log in to myCoyote
  2. Select "Graduation One Stop" 
  3. Follow steps under "Participate In Your Commencement Ceremony"
    1. Verify Diploma Name and Address. 
    2. Register for Commencement 

Important: All graduates must complete the form on Mycoyote and the Marching Order form to successfully register for their specific ceremony.

Are there different ceremonies for undergrad and graduates?

No, the ceremonies are only separated by academic Colleges. 

Where can I purchase my Cap and Gown?

When will I receive my Diploma? 

Diplomas will not be distributed at commencement. The university will issue your diploma after verifying that you have completed all degree requirements. You will receive it by mail approximately four to six weeks after graduation. 

 

COMMENCEMENT DAY

What time should I arrive for the commencement ceremony? 

Graduates should arrive one hour before their ceremony start time. 

How long does the commencement ceremony last? 

The ceremony will last approximately two (2) hours. Participants are not permitted to leave the commencement ceremony early.

Will my guest need tickets for the ceremony? 

Yes, tickets will be required for all guests ages 2 and older, to enter the arena.

Can I get additional tickets? 

At this time we will not be releasing any additional or "extra" guest tickets.

What time will doors open to guests? 

Door will open one (1) hour before the ceremony start time. 

Can I decorate my graduation cap? 

Yes, you may decorate your cap. We ask for decorations to be appropriate and respectful to others.
