HACU Capitol Forum Application

The Associated Students, Inc. invites all currently enrolled CSUSB students to submit a scholarship application for the 2020 Capitol Forum hosted by the Hispanic Association for Colleges and Universities on April 21 - 22, 2020. See below for scholarship requirements and eligibility (letters of recommendation are optional) - deadline to apply is March 6, 2020. 

Disclaimer: given the demand and limited scholarships provided by ASI, applicants will be responsible for making any prior arrangements to fulfill all of the requirements and program guidelines listed below. Failure to participate in any or all of the requirements will result in an immediate forfeit of awarded funds.

  • Leadership training by the Associated Students, Inc.

Selection Guidelines & Requirements 

All applicants must be currently enrolled at CSUSB.

All applicants must have a minimum 2.5 cumulative & quarterly GPA (3.0 for Graduate Students).

If selected to receive this scholarship, recipients must attend mandatory workshops, briefings and meetings as follows (no exceptions):

  • Friday, April 3, 2020 from 10:00am - 2:00pm (Workshop) 
  • Friday, April 10, 2020 from 10:00am - 12:00pm (Workshop)
  • Friday, April 17, 2020 from 10:00am - 12:00pm (Workshop)
  • Friday May 1, 2020 from 10:00am - 1:00pm (Debrief Meeting) 
  • Tuesday May 5, 2020 from 12:00pm - 2:00pm (ASI Board Meeting) 

Program Details 

  • Recipients of the scholarship will attend and participate in professional development workshops, legislative briefings, and meetings hosted by the Associated Students, Inc. prior to travel beginning April 3rd. 
  • The HACU delegation (scholarship recipients) will travel to Washington D.C. on April 20th and return to California on April 23rd. Scholarship recipients will need to make prior class arrangements.
