Introduction to University Literacies

Analysis of the forms and content of literature. Emphasis is on the methodology of reading prose fiction, drama and poetry. In this Early Start English course, you will reflect on past experiences as a writer and reader; explore the kinds of writing and reading activities in university courses; and begin to develop strategies for navigating the new writing and reading occasions you will encounter as a college student.
