We estimate that the Coyote Day One program will save about 75% of CSUSB undergraduate students money on their textbooks and other instructional materials (IM).
Please use this worksheet to calculate whether the program will save you money on your IM.
It comes down to whether what you would pay for your IM without the Coyote Day One program is a greater or lesser amount than the fee for Coyote Day One ($21.50 per unit, capped at $322.50 for 15 or more units).
If you decide to opt out, the opt out window is from August 1, 2024 to the Fall 2023 census date, September 23, 2024. Here are the steps to opt out:
- You will receive an email to create or activate your Coyote Day One account.
- Or, access the Opt-Out Portal via this link.
- If it is your first time logging into the Opt-Out Portal, click "Create an Account”. You will receive a second email to activate your account.
- Enter your email and password; you will be taken to your Follett Coyote Day One account page.
- Click "Opt Out" and confirm "Opt Out" in the pop up.
- That’s it - you have successfully opted out and the Coyote Day One fee will be credited to your CSUSB account.
- You can opt back in any time before the Fall 2024 census date, September 24, 2024.
