CSUSB professor and student discuss cybersecurityThe Security Brief with Paul ViollisNov. 8, 2018 Recognizing the ominous threat coming from the cyber world, Paul Viollis interviewed educational leaders from Cal State San Bernardino and Holy Cross High School (Flushing, N.Y.) about the astounding steps being taken to educate tomorrows leaders in cybersecurity. CSUSB professor shares advice for students preparing for job interviewsWallet HacksNov. 18, 2018 The personal finance website interviewed Victoria Seitz, CSUSB professor and marketing department chair, on the topic of students preparing for their first job interview. One piece of advice: “Prepare in advance of the interview in putting your interview outfit together and go through a dress rehearsal so to speak. Additionally, besides what you wear, pay attention to your body language such as eye contact and hand movements. CSUSB professor favors Ethiopian government’s effort to end ethnic conflictsPrensa Latina (Havana, Cuba)Nov. 17, 2018 The Spanish-language news site included a comment by Al Mariam, CSUSB professor of political science, in an article about Ethiopia’s effort to end ethnic conflicts. The Ethiopian Council of Ministers approved a bill to establish the National Commission of Truth and Reconciliation, with the aim of resolving ethnic conflicts and tensions. Mariam and other academics support the idea, the news report said. “In his opinion, there has never been a large-scale social chaos that requires national reconciliation,” the news site said. Read the complete article, in Spanish, at “Etiopía avanza en estrategias para erradicar conflictos étnicos.”
